Your background forces you to ART beyond the surface of contemporary appeal?

So... what?

Juanita cannot hide it. She cannot pretend that her art does not have the underlying themes of gratitude and freedom, derived from a life lived in Africa for 36 years. 

While the past 5 years in Victoria, Australia has been the best years of her life, she still draws upon the contrast of a life lived in a 3^rd world country vs. the freedom that this marvellous 1^st world country offers its fortunate inhabitants.

Juanita ARTs not because she’s been trained as an artist - she hasn’t, but because her cup of gratitude overflows in the form of paint and wire and paper and anything that may capture a sense of her appreciation.
