ARTIST NOTES: I did this portrait as part of my high school art assignment. I chose Ben Quilty as my artists inspiration. This is the first time I have painted with oil paint and also the first time I used a palette knife. I chose Bernie Sanders because he believes in equality and wants to make America a better place for all and not just the rich.
