ARTIST NOTES: The western Blue Devil fish is an incredibly vibrant species found living under rock ledges off the shores around South Australia. Capturing the intense blue coloration and secretive nature of these fish was my focus, the colour being my primary inspiration for this piece. Turbid water swirls beneath the fish as it wafts the underlying sand with it's fins.
