ARTIST NOTES: The work is still in the process of completion but will be ready fro the show.
The species in the drawing rang from Victoria to the south coastal waters of Australia , but more specifically from the area of Blanket bay in Victoria off the coast of the great ocean road . These waters hold some of the worlds most beautiful and diver fauna and flora and as such holds important conservation and ecological significance. If you view my other paintings will be completing the art work with watercolor and color pencil. but not complete in colour as my art practice juxtopose colour and black and white. This body of work takes form in the effort to bring awareness to the concerning environmental issues that are affecting our planet today. The key themes and ideas that are at play in the work are loss evident through the means of bright colours opposed to the absence of colours, the strong contrast prevalent in the works awaken us to the future natural environment without colour and its magnificent intricacies that could vanish.
