ARTIST NOTES: The Jabberwocky Series: The Golden Egg is a poem about the fate of the Hooded Plovers of KI and South Australia, their challenges with man and climate change.
The artwork depicts the golden egg in a square with other geometric boundaries holding the egg in place to what fate.
I monitor and collect data on a KI beach for BirdLife Australia

ARTIST BIO

Hi, I am an environmental artist on Kangaroo Island. I love islands and their diverse range of niches and then how creatures speciate quickly.

My past has been in biology, working in Mexico, the USA and Heron Island as a taxonomist. Today, I am enjoying painting and drawing as a full time artist on Kangaroo Island, a very special place indeed.

My work is contemporary where I abstract ideas and emotions of challenges nature face.
