ARTIST NOTES: This piece called 'This old Bloke' was inspired by a pen and ink illustration of a Murray Cod I completed for an upcoming Natural Resources Management book. An Aboriginal Elder consulted in regards to vook content aptly referred to the Cod in my Illustration as this old Bloke. Highlighting the importance of older larger species in maintaining a healthy environment. I became particularly interested in the mottled skin of the Murray Cod as I drew him, further inspiring me to explore the use of water colour for this composition.
