ARTIST NOTES: Art could be seen as a faculty or power to create, but it also has the power to effect real change in the world. From our ancestors cave paintings to this time, some artworks throughout history have revolutionized the way we think about injustice, governments and social issues. Today, many have covered up the conscience about what we are doing to the Planet. Sustainability does not come with State Regulations, quite the opposite it is the demand of everyone! I want to show, via my *poster-paintings we can still transition to a “Circular and Sharing Economy”

Artist’s Statement
 Diana Dan - BARTOLOME-

Not long ago, there was a period where human beings needed to rely on nature, but now the natural world is so vulnerable it is at the mercy of human’s and it is now in their hands, it is an alarming reality.

I believe life and human consciousness have emerged from a long process of evolution, but in thisdigital era” humanity seems more like a teenager risking all, and wasting many natural resources without considering the long term consequences of it.

Through my posters on canvas with silhouette images and text messages,

I am looking for a way via conceptual art where I can send the message that

if we humans don’t urgently change our way of living, we will jeopardize life itself, not just for us but for future generations”

We still can make a change by becoming part of

the circular economy and sharing society.

This will shape a new sustainable future for the Planet we live on.

The circular economy states we should – design, make, use and reuse products and services- to ensure they stay within the economy for as long as possible while minimizing environmental harm

and it starts by ourselves as individual making a change before it is to late.
